Md. Kausar Alam, FCS, FCCA (UK), ACA (England & Wales), FCMA is a seasoned finance professional with over 32 years of experience in multinational corporations and large conglomerates. He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB), the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (FCS, ICSB), and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA, UK), and an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ACA, ICAEW). He holds a Masters degree in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of Dhaka and an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka. Currently, he serves as the Group Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of Shun Shing Group International Manufacturing Division, Hong Kong, where he has been serving as CFO for over a decade. He is also a Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Janata Bank PLC and has previously held senior leadership roles at British American Tobacco and Rahimafrooz (Bangladesh) Ltd.

Mr. Alam is actively involved in professional, regulatory, academic, and social institutions. He is the current President of ICMAB, a founding member and current Vice President of the Intellectual Property Association of Bangladesh (IPAB), and a General Body Member of FBCCI (20202026). His past roles include Vice President of the Bangladesh Accounting Association and Independent Director of Navana CNG Ltd. and Aftab Automobiles Ltd. He currently serves as Honorary Director (Finance) of ARK Foundation and as a Director of BAAS Village Resorts Ltd., and is an elected Director of Gulshan North Club Ltd. In addition, he is a part-time faculty member at ICSB, ICMAB, and several universities, a regular contributor to professional journals and media, and an active Rotarian.

Mr. Alam is married to Dr. Rumana Huque, Professor of Economics at the University of Dhaka, and is blessed with a son who is studying Economics at the University of Leeds, United Kingdom; he has also traveled to over 35 countries for professional and personal engagements.
