SAFA Best Presented Annual Report Awards, Integrated Reporting Awards & SAARC Anniversary Awards for Corporate Governance Disclosures, 2023 ceremony
The South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) celebrated the region's achievements in financial reporting at the 2023 Best Presented Annual Report Awards hosted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) in Colombo on 11 th November 2024.
This year’s theme, “Honouring Excellence,” captured the essence of the awards, celebrating the highest standards in annual reporting across diverse industries and recognising achievements in integrated reporting and corporate governance in South Asia. It also reflected the core values championed by professional accountants—clarity, transparency, and integrity.
The event at the Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo was held under the patronage of Dr. P. Nandalal Weerasinghe, Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka; Mr. Arjuna Herath, Chairman of the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka; Mr. Heshana Kuruppu, President of SAFA and CA Sri Lanka; Mr. Ashfaq Yousuf Tola, Vice President of SAFA; Ms. Anoji De Silva, Chairperson of the SAFA Committee for Improvement in Transparency, Accountability, and Governance; as well as representatives from member bodies of SAFA.
Entities from multiple sectors from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal were collectively honoured with awards for their excellence in annual reporting at the grand event. A total of 10 gold awards, 13 silver awards, and 16 bronze awards were won across 14 different sectors. Additionally, 40 other entities received merit certificates in recognition of their outstanding reporting in the South Asian region.
