Committee on Insolvency
Terms of Reference
- To review Insolvency laws or legislation and processes at each member country, identifying and promoting best practices.
- To contribute to the strengthening of the insolvency resolution ecosystem by sharing cross jurisdictional knowledge, experience, and best practices, thereby facilitating the development of the profession of insolvency resolution.
- To encourage the SAFA members bodies to conduct research on the state of Insolvency, challenges encountered, required developments and best practices, while in the longer run to consolidate findings to develop best practices aligning the SAFA region and make recommendations to each legislative bodies for necessary changes.
- To facilitate coordination with member bodies for the dissemination of knowledge, capacity building of members/professionals, and collaborative efforts in sharing knowledge resources, fostering networking opportunities.
- To publish materials related to the Insolvency Laws and practices.
- To collaborate with the member bodies on any joint activity/ initiative in Insolvency related areas.
- To provide guidance and engagement with member bodies for their growth and effective contribution in the insolvency resolution sphere as far as it is practical.
