Prof. Dr. Md. Salim Uddin FCMA has been elected President of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) for the term 2024.

The Council of ICMAB in its meeting held on January 21, 2024 also elected Mr. Mahtab Uddin Ahmed FCMA and Mr. Akhtaruzzaman FCMA as Vice-Presidents, Mr. S.M. Zahir Uddin Haider FCMA as Secretary and Mr. Abdul Matin Patwary FCMA as Treasurer of the Institute.

Prof. Dr. Md. Salim Uddin FCMA is currently working as the Professor of Accounting department of University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. He is also working as the Chairman of Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation (BHBFC) and the Chairman of Union Bank Ltd.

Dr. Salim is a fellow member of 3 (three) professional accounting bodies such as (i) The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh-ICAB (ii) The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh-ICMAB and (iii) The Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy-CIPFA, UK. He was an Independent Director of Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), was also an Independent Director of Premier Bank Ltd. and Director of Rupali Bank Ltd. and Rupali Investment Ltd.
