Hina Usmani is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) carrying over 30 years of combined work and professional practice experience. She has served over 12 years at senior management level positions in leasing and banking sectors prior to commencement of practice in 2004. She is founder and Managing Partner of Usmani & Co. (UCO), an all-women led quality rated SMP in Pakistan and introduced a unique flexible & WFH working model in 2013 for women accountants. UCO is one of the global signatories of United Nation’s Women Empowerment Principles (WEP). She leads assurance and tax services of the firm and provides professional services to a vast clientele in Pakistan. Furthermore, she is leading Karachi operations of Ilyas Saeed & Co., a firm with rich experience in public and private sector, carrying international affiliation with MGI Worldwide.

She has the honor of being elected as first woman Council Member in 2017 and first woman Vice President of ICAP in 2019. She is re-elected in 2021 as council member and currently chairing CA Women Committees of ICAP. At regional level she is Chair SAFA Women Leadership Committee for 2023-2024 and internationally serves as Technical Advisor at IFAC SMP Advisory Group (SMPAG). She is member Karachi Tax Bar and also serves in multiple committees of Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Her contribution for accountancy profession in Pakistan and for region has been widely appreciated and portrayed by IFAC, ICAP, US-Pakistan Women’s Council, United Nation Development of Pakistan as well as by local and international media and professional accountancy circles.
