Mr. Manil Jayesinghe Mr. Manil Jayesinghe is the President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) for the term 2020/2021. He has served as a Council Member of CA Sri Lanka since 2015 and was the Vice President of the Institute during the term of 2018/2019.

At present, he serves as the Head of Assurance/Senior Partner, Professional Practice Director, in charge of Banking and Financial Services practice of Ernst & Young, Sri Lanka, counting over 37 years of extensive experience.

Jayesinghe’s contribution to the accountancy profession is extensive both in a local, regional and international sense. At present, he serves as the incumbent Chairman of the Statutory Accounting Standards Committee and Member of the Statutory Auditing Committee apart from holding membership in many other committees of CA Sri Lanka.

He is also the current Chair of the Accounting Standards Committee of the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) and has also served as a Member of the Board of International Accounting Education Standards Board of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) and serves as a Consultant to several Audit Committees of Listed Companies. He is also a Council Member of CMA Sri Lanka.

He has been a presenter at several seminars organised by CA Sri Lanka for Auditing and Accounting Standards, served as a Judge of Corporate Governance Report for the Annual Reports Awards Competition, and presented papers at the CA Sri Lanka Annual Conference in addition to sharing his expertise at various events including forums as a panelist.

Jayesinghe is a Fellow Member of CA Sri Lanka and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK), and a member of The Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy (CIPFA).
